IAAG recognises an enhanced duty of care when advising minors (under 18).

 

[Principles]

• Communication is expected to involve a parent/guardian.

• Consultation regarding minors should, where feasible, be conducted with parent/guardian participation or consent.

• IAAG will respect safeguarding expectations and requirements set by institutions and providers.

[Scope]

IAAG provides advisory guidance on routes and preparation. Student welfare and on-site safeguarding remain under the responsibility of institutions and guardians, within their respective roles.
